Michael:
What are those George's Gateway chips GOING for? ;-)
Pricing is such a subjective thing. When the price of a chip is high, I go by The Chip Rack price. If the price is low, TCR hasn't responded quick enough. Although I'm just kidding, there is some truth to whether you're buying or selling/trading. If you're a seller you want the highest price; if you're buying, you want the lowest. The Chip Rack is a great GUIDE, it's NOT the definitive bible of price guides. But TCR along with Campiglia/Wells book are the two best guides for chippers.
Michael, how many of us who underpaid for a chip would report that to you Ernie or Allan? If I though a chip was valued at $1000 and I bought it for $800, it's probably not in my interest to report that. It's hard for these guys to respond to fluctuations in the marketplace. Look what happended to the Horseshoe chips, from thousands to under a hundred dollars in just months.
Who needs price guides? Let's just trade a stack for a stack like you guys did in the OLD days.
