I apologize for the DPI resolution but apparently the higher the resolution, the sharper the image. Am I correct in this assumption? If so, then tell me, does it take a higher resolution to scan a black and white picture from a magazine than it does a chip?

I tried a 75 dpi to one cartoon and it came out alright. I tried it with this one and it was all blurry. (Do you suppose the subject matter had anything to do with it?) The higher the DPI I tried, the clearer the picture.

My next attempt will be with a chip. Thanx to all for your patience and your assistance.
