Bob; I don't think that including images is the cause of "wasting everyone's time". This board has been verrrrry slowwww tonight for some reason. It is taking much, much longer waiting (after clicking onto a particular post) for the post to load and appear, whether it has an image associated with the post or not,.... than it does to read the actual post. To have to click onto a hyperlink in order to get to another webpage to view an image only slows the process down even more when attempting getting back in to this bb where one left off. I much prefer to see the image at the same time I read the post with one only one single click of my browser.
