What do you mean, "I deleted from my hard drive"???
1) If you expect me to be able to help, it's much better to ask, "How do I delete this from my hard drive?" before you start <g>!
2) Do you have a good, current backup?
3) If it's so addictive, why would you delete it in the first place?
4) Did the dialog mention the names of the shared files?
It is not uncommon for a program to use Windows components that should not be deleted. It is best to delete a program using an uninstall program. Windows has an add/remove programs tool in the control panel. If that tool said not to remove something, don't.
Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for poorly written applications to do all sorts of undesirable things to your system. I downloaded LIR but didn't install it yet. I would always do a full backup before installing something from an unknown source. People complain about the cost of software, but many times with freeware you get what you pay for. Maybe that's one reason why I'm so vocal in supporting small software houses that write good stuff.
Did someone say it was too quiet on this board?
