I have to agree with everyone as well. (so that's what those little minus signs mean?)
But addressing your comment about golf vs chip collecting. I have my name on a trophy as winner, which I'll never do chip collecting. I can get rained on, Sunburn, poison ivy and bug bitten, which I'd find very unlikely to happen chip collecting.
I'll estimate the value on Elko $1 chips at $5 cost each. Some negative investment as far as honest values. $150 to fly there, dump about $300 on the Crap table while I'm pocketing chips, and then the value of the chips. So $500 will get me about $100 or less in chips. (which should retain the face value.)
On the other side, if I buy a $500 set of irons, moderate value, the second I start to slash and hack at the course, they are worth about $100 bucks.
Conclusion? Golf is more dangerous, but both cost about the same in the long run. The ultimate answer is, YES I am having fun collecting chips, I don't give a hoot about future value or investment most of the time.
So did anyone comment on the new Oneida Green Bay chip? I looked Thursday before I left for the CART races at Road America. Nothing? What happened to the other three people in the world who collect WI chips? (G)
