I want to value my collection to see if it's an "investment" or a "money pit" I've got the chip rack and am going by the lowest value in the given range. But, it lists current $1 chips as being worth $3-$4. Now, I can see someone filling out a set might pay that but would "the average collectors exchange for that" as the chip rack says? Something tells me that selling all my possessions and buying current in use chips then selling them at three to four times face just wouldn't quite work out that way. How can I fairly and conservatively value my collection using the chip rack? To value current chips above face value seems inflated. Please, enlighten me.
