Question to Allen Myers: Re: Dunes Roulette Chips

Allen:

I was interested in knowing how many colors of the dunes roulette chips have been seen in person, other than in a pictute. I'm sorry I don't have your book so I am looking at James & Steves book. Since we will assume the Unique black chip is brown, does anyone have or has anyone seen a salmon colored dunes chip? I always thought salmon was a pink color. Maybe in different pictures the same chips would look different colors? On the four boxes I have 1 box has a whole paper label on one end. It says, Non Duplicate- Heavy- Fast Dealing - SUPER DEAL - Chocolate, on the bottom reads 315 West 39th St. New York 18, N.Y. In the center circle where it says Chocolate, it also says H. C. Edwards & Co. On the other box of brown it just has a small paper label that says chocolate. On the other 2 boxes 1 has a small paper label that says Pink. Now on the last box the small paper label says white. This box cover is exactly like the other box covers so I would assume that the lids were just put on the wrong boxes at some point. So, Does anyone have a cream colored chip or was it just seen in a picture, and might what looked cream color in a picture be white?

Back to the first question, how many colors have been seen in person? Are the boxes worth anything?<g>

Have sold 21 sets so far plus 1. I will advertise in the next issue of the club magazine so anyone on the BB has first chance at the chips.

Thanks allen, Michele
