... tonight when posting the "LONG Response" to Larry Hollibaugh's "Inquiring Minds" message. After I typed out my response (took a LONG time), I was just about to preview my message when it just disappeared, along with all of Greg's board. I was still in Netscape, but the ChipBoard was gone and I couldn't find it anywhere. Had to go to my bookmarks and bring it back anew, which meant of course that my LONG message was gone.
After subjecting my wife to a brief "hostile environment" complete with "inappropriate language" <g>, I prepared myself to re-write the entire thing. Then, a random thought occurred (VERY random, believe me) and I looked in my cache file to see if there was any way to recover my message.
Lo and behold, I discovered that the cache does indeed contain copies of messages posted on the BB. And there, in a file named "Mlunnr1l", I found the message I had written to Larry. I opened it in WordPerfect, blocked and copied to the clipboard and then went back to the ChipBoard and copied it into a new message box. Voila!! It worked.
The moral of this story, I guess, is that even a pig gets lucky once in awhile.
