I played in The Orleans Open Poker Tournament today. $120 buy-in with 1,086 players! 1st place was $41,000 & change & I got knocked out in about 3 hours. ANYWAY, after I got knocked out I watched some of the Soccer match on one of the many big screens they had there (same room as where the Club Convention USE to be). About every 5 minutes a guy who was still in the tournament would come up & watch the game for a few seconds & then head back to the poker table. After having him do this 4 or 5 times I asked him if he had a bet on the game. Sure enough, he pulled out a ticket from The Orleans Sportsbook. He had bet $5,000 to win $4,000 on team USA! That's a nice $9,000 swing he had to sweat during the penalty kicks........He returned to the poker tournament & it was not long before he busted out................Andy - Las Vegas
