"My offer still stands "If you can produce any evidence of me offering improper copy's of chip related reference material or software to anyone" my collection
is yours."
I have the evidence. Where do I send it for validation?
And yes, there are problem gamblers. Let's outlaw gambling. There are problem drinkers. Let's outlaw alcohol. There are problem drivers. Let's outlaw cars. Outlaw guns. Outlaw the computers hackers use to create viruses. And of course you know some people will gamble on anything, especially sporting events. Let's outlaw professional sports. Hey, let's fight illegal copying by outlawing COPY MACHINES! Or let's just bash anybody involved in any of these industries. Isn't it fun to bring up a legitimate concern and have someone throw bogus arguments back in your face rather than address the issue?
IGT is well aware of the cost to society caused by problem gambling. They are at the forefront of an expensive education and assistance campaign. I thought long and hard about the moral issues of gambling when I was offered this job. I worked in the amusement industry for years and endured the slings and arrows of people convinced the pinball machine was the invention of the devil, to steal the souls of our children. I already told you why I quit. And FWIW, I am NOT a fan of the guts and gore games and TV our children are constantly offered in today's world, but that's another topic.
If you would like to have an honest discussion of the pros and cons of the gaming industry, without dredging up every other possible moral dilemma any time the conversation isn't going your way, I'd be delighted.
