I hope I didn't leave the impression that I'm putting down lawyers. I was putting down a line of reasoning that if a lawyer doesn't specifically exclude a method, then it's OK to steal it that way, i.e. if I copy it and send you the copy it's wrong, but if I send you the original with the specific agreement you copy it and send it back it's OK because the package didn't say not to. An accomplice to a crime is still a criminal. Lawyers are having a heyday because consumers sue companies over their own stupidity. "But the instructions didn't say NOT to..."
