Gene, while a natural progression to higher denomination LE's could be sited, the progression is unnatural in the implimentation by making ONLY higher denomination LE's. While the demographic area might support LE's in an issue quantity of 1000 or less, the trend toward higher denominations priced me out of that area. An example of where I'm at, I have a handfull of the "Bite Night" Holyfield vs Tyson II $10 chips. The MGM ALSO made $25 and $100 examples of this chip. Caesar's AC (thanks Don A) chose to make ONLY one value of their LE chips.
Most collectors that I know collect chips as a hobby, the largest percentage being collectors of $5 or under face value chips, be they house chips or LE's. While there certainly is a market for higher denomination LE's, limiting a commerative to a high denomintion only issue might be good for the casinos and high value collectors, it isn't any good for lower value collectors and could very well work against some poeple considering entering our hobby as a new collector.
Just my opinion, Bob
