Jack, I might have missed the posting but just what branch of the service were you in and what years did you serve? I'm sure your animosity toward the Coast Guard must have some basis and am curious to know just what it may be.

I admit to my lack of knowledge of the modern day confrontations, but having been a child during the Second World War (and therefore to young to enlist at that time) and somewhat of a pseudo historian, I am well aware of the history of the Coast Guard and the deeds which they performed during their campaigns along with the other branches of the service, especially in the Pacific Theatre.
