Don,
My partner & I have "drop offs" for our business which are 14 Taverns located around the Las Vegas Valley. Tuesday through Friday we pick up the score sheets from the pool matches the night before. My partner & I each have our own little route we take. She does the east side (6) & I do the west side (8). It takes me about 2 hours to do my route on a normal day. Today it took 4 1/2 hours. My partner was not able to get to 3 of her drop offs because of streets being closed. We also have had about 6 teams call who cannot get to their Taverns to play their matches tonight. What made it so bad today is the fact that we have not had any real rain this year & that the rain came down so quick (around 2.25" in some places in about 20 minutes). NOW we have to see what happens on Friday (and on through Sunday), it is suppose to rain again, but, this time the ground is so soaked that it looks like we'll have more flooding. I just heard on the news that the damage here is around $100 million. My partner had her purse stolen around 11:30 this morning out of her car & when see called the police all they said was that they could not help her & she would have to call back tomorrow because of the strain put on them by the weather.............
