It rained, at least in the Vegas Valley. I saw the storms coming in from the SW from my office at the Fire station in Boulder City. The "dry" lake bed in Eldorado valley became a real lake in minutes. Luckily, the storm went north and Boulder was spared. Boulder Highway from Railroad Pass northward was closed. Much of 95 was closed and our ambulances had to turn back in their attempt to reach Vegas hospitals. I managed to get home (NW Vegas) from Boulder fairly easily only because of "professional courtesies" from fellow firemen and PD's.
Rain here like this is an event only to be seen and experienced to truly understand.
