Paul,
Except the 4 Queens doesn't know or didn't bother to research that there are 5 Armed Forces of the United States, not 4. It is my understanding that the United States Coast Guard, which is and has been for a long, long time an Armed Force of the United States, was not included in their 4th of July tribute. If I am wrong please correct me. If true, it seems that knowledge of the military and it's history is a little short in southern Nevada (or at least in some of it's casinos). The Ramada Express in Laughlin also slighted the United States Coast Guard in it's World War II tribute last year. For the information of anyone who is interested, did you ever notice the Coast Guard Trailblazer sign (directional sign) while driving from Las Vegas to Laughlin and just past Searchlight pointing east into the mountains, well there is a Coast Guard LORAN transmitting site at the end of that road. I wonder how many of the crew of that station spent their pay checks gambling at Ramada Express.
Both casinos get my vote for boycotting buying their chips in the future. With all of the brain power that goes into running those places you would think someone would have done a little research or made a phone call to any local military recruiter (or maybe I am giving them more credit than they are due <vbg>). Having served over 25 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, I get angry every time I come across this oversight. Most people don't care but I always will! Take care, my friend. I haven't forgotten the chip list I said I would send you. Chuck (The non-controversial one)
