I've said this before and I repeat myself. Only a few people beyond the board members know the DETAILS of the proposals on the table for next years convention. How can ANYONE intelligently make a decision what is best for the club and it's membership without knowing all the FACTS!
Chuck as a local I know you're concerns may be different than out-of-towners. I respect your opinion but what can possibly come out of expressing ones disatisfaction for a decision where you nor I have inside knowledge? If the cost of the ballroom for the trade session doubles or triples, what if the room for the convention itself is higher, are you and others still adament about having it at the Orleans? What is room availability? How many out-of-towners & locals are willing to attend a show where two days are during the week and the first day during Father's Day?
Why state our preferences for anything – I prefer obsoletes, arodies, and rocky road. So WHAT! My opinion is not offensive. All the bickering on this board does nothing but create dissention amongst cyberchippers. The board is intelligent, conscientious, and in MY opinion free of an agenda. Do you want to string up a board member because they made a decision which doesn't agree with you? Does it matter? Like many others, I will be there no matter where the convention is held.
All this bickering looks bad to those who want to join this fine organization. Let's put aside the crap, leave it on the table, and get down to discussing chips and tokens.
Forgive me for making this a public statement. My previous questions were never answered and I'm disgusted by continous statements, comments, and opinions without hearing or asking for the facts.

I support the WHOLE board in whatever decision they arrive at.
