Pete; Don't confuse "slabbing" with imbedding in acrylic. Slabbed coins can be broken out of slabs with no damage to the coin.... dealers do it all the time. In fact at the end of major coin shows the floor is littered with broken plastic cases that once housed slabbed coins...... and I'm sure that chips would be also..... shudder the day if it ever came to pass.
