I'll take your idea and raise you two slabbers. Paulson and Bud Jones should buy the equipment so they can slab at the factory. Since most of these chips never hit the table, why not have them arrive untouched by human hands. (they have monkies do the packing? G)
But this does raise a problem. Slabbing is done with ultrasonic welding. The plastic fuses together. Just what do people think a chip is made of? I think in the future people will find out their "rare" chips are being dammaged by slabbing. I would risk ruining a rare chip, by washing it in soap and water, why would someone want to have it subjected to forces which could possible alter it's structure or worse yet, MELT IT!
