Chip/Token of the Year(Requirements?)

Hi,

I just started looking into the current club magazine. I was surprized to see that the Hilton Spacequest token set was among the noninees.

The Spacequest set tokens are NOT gaming tokens. Only an added prize when you hit a line on the special slot machines.

Does our club have regulations regarding the nomination of chips and tokens that are not "Gaming Approved", or are redeemable by the casino?

Although this set is a well done set, I feel that since it is not "Gaming" as in our club title it shouldn't have been considered and those nominations not counted.

I realize that you had to gamble to win a set, but after you received it you could NEVER expect the casino to redeem it. I know that the Hilton had posted a value of $100.00 on the set but did they ever offer the $100.00 to the player who had won the set instead of giving them the set? I don't think so.

My other question is can we nominate the Club Chip from this year for next year's chip of the year, or how about a nomination for the Election chip of Sarles & O'Neal? I also like Greg Susong's chips he was giving to us who attending the convention. But the winner by far is Alexi Lynn Harber BIRTH chip. A beautiful chip! I've posted a scan of the chips here for you to decide.
