Thanks, John. Bob never asked where the best shopping was. Just the most elegant casino. I saw a documentary the other night on the local PBS - the Mapes was a marvel of it's time. Opened in 1947, it was the very first "resort" casino, with gaming, restaraunts, big hotel. Every room different, filled with wonderful antiques. And the Sky Room, where anybody who was anybody went to see and be seen. In tuxes or jeans. Back when Vegas was still just a little watering hole in a big desert.
