Larry, Obviously you have never gone shopping on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach on a summer day in June! Many of the same shops can be found on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. I was there a few weeks ago looking in the Brooks Brothers store for a gift to send to Ed Hertel when he gets his MBA. All of the men were wearing jackets & ties & the women were dressed to the nines. I don't think I saw anyone with a bead of sweat. I was soaked down to my socks! I was really tempted to ask one of the women if she ever had to pee, but I thought that was a bit tactless. I did ask one of the salesmen in Brooks where he got his clothes cleaned & pressed. He asked me to leave the store. I can't figure out why. I was dressed in cut-off jeans, a Hard Rock t-shirt & sneakers. Do you think he found my Marlins ballcap with Yiddish lettering offensive? I will fire off a letter to the corporate office of Brooks Brothers & enclose my cut up credit card.
