The Black chip has 25.00 on the back and is a diamond mold chip distributed by Jack Todd. The Red chip is a Hub distributed by Mason and is the same on both sides. TGT list this chip as:
Premier Club
3130 Troost St
Kansas City, Mo
open in 1936
It was IDed through Mason records.
Both of these chips were obtained from a man whose father was a salesman for the Jack Todd Co. They have tiny drill holes designating them as salesman samples.
Question: Why would a salesman for JT, have salesman's samples from the Mason Co.
Answer: Another big mystery! We may never be able to trace many mold designs to a specific distributor. I have run into this same thing on many of my forays into the old molds. The problem is in the old Burt records. I have been privy to small glimpses into them. To begin with they are not accessible in most cases and secondly they do not contain all the information we need even if they were accessible.
