GOOD CHOICE! I too purchased the Hewlett Packard ScanJet 4100C. It is so easy to use!!!! Plug and play.... When I did what the initial instructions said to do.. I felt like for sure I had lost a page of instructions or something - And it comes with Adobe PhotoDeluxe, a nice program that allows you to manipulate your scans if you want.

You DO WANT to get a scanner with the USB plug (such as the HP). You can get a scanner for $35, but it does not use USB, and you'll have to run it through your printer. Everyone I have talked with has had major problems with this setup.

Spring for the Hewlett Packard, you won't be sorry.
