Please don't limit this thread to E-mails. Although as Paul Bender mentioned, the topic was discussed a couple of months ago, new scanners have been produced and I also am going to buy one tomorrow or Monday, so please make the answers public.

I purchased a Microtek 28 days ago (30 day exchange period will be up in 2 day from Best Buy) for $250 with a $50 rebate but have since been advised to get the HP (can't remember the model#) for about $149.00)

I do believe in purchasing brand name equipment so I am thinking of exchanging for the HP.
