I tend to opt for the Orleans Sunday thru Thursday, but my situation is different than most folks. The July dates at the Trop are more likely to interfere with my schedule than the June dates at the Orleans.

Weekend room rates at the Trop are also something that needs to be considered. We've been getting the standard $39 weekday rate (during the weekdays) at the Orleans.
