I went through the same thought process when I did my riverboat book. The layout I had at first would have run 300 pages and would have cost me $40 each to print. I made the pictures a little smaller, but still bigger than most others, and was able to get the book in at a reasonable price. There are nearly 1,400 color chip photos in the book and I'm able to sell it for $32.95. Of course, every situation is different, but that is my experience. Good luck!
