Sure looks like Clark Gable to me... He was often drawn with exaggerated ears, just as Bob Hope was drawn with an over-sized "Ski Slope" nose.
Below is a scan of a publicity shot of Gable and Mary Astor from their 1932 film, Red Dust. He does have a set of ears on him in this one. Most of the publicity shots in his later years were shot at more flattering angles.. as were his films. His ears do appear smaller in some of his later films and photo stills. MAY have been due to surgery, since ears get LARGER as we get older. I once read that the human ears and nose are the only things that continue to grow in size until death. Can any science folks on the board confirm this?
