Very honest reply . The bottom line is if they bidder thinks the opening amount is too high, they should not bid on it. for example, Many on ebay will have an opening bid of $1. and put a reserve of $300. just to get interest, or to save on e bay fee's.
I have no problem with your opening bids, just like dealers at the convention or other chip shows that price their chips above the going prices, all you have to do is look elsewhere.
