I am posting a letter I sent to the current Board members by email. I post it here just to let you know what I am thinking that is important for the continued growth of the club and the building on the foundation that has been built.

Please do not discuss my letter, but put your own thoughts on this and any other issues you feel are important in a letter to the board for their consideration.

Hopefully this process will work, in a quiet civil manner, and we will then put ideas up for a vote and everyone accept the memberships results.

Dear Board members:

I think this is the proper way to get a response for club business.
I think 2 important issues should be considered and your opinions and discussion of two proposed bylaw changes would be appreciated.

1st, The past President should be made a part of the board.
Reason: there is too much knowledge and continuity lost it they are not.

2nd, The number of Board Members should be increased.
Reason: Having only 5 Board members does not represent the total membership. 3/5 ths of the board are chosen for their business abilities to run a club, Additional members that would head committees and divide the work up, would ease the workload on the current board and make for greater expansion of the club.
