I have no problem with anything you said. In fact, I think you are quite perceptive. Most of the high-end dealers and collectors were using our book at the show. People spending $500 and up for a single chip tend to be picky. they are the collectors most likely to use more stringent standards. The average collector is less likely to bother with it or even to care. That's fine with us! We don't care if a particular chipper uses a grading system or not. That decision is completely up to the individual. The point is that if anyone wants to, a system now exists that will let them. And the fact is that on high-end chips, there are significant price differences depending on condition. We saw most of the major collections in the country and spoke with most of the major collectors, and this is the way it is.
