Hi Chuck ----- There are many examples of businesses operating in real world competition which nevertheless make promotional offers with limited availability of the promotional items (just walk down any supermarket aisle any day of the week). It is sometimes to the advantage of the seller to limit the number of items which can be purchased by a single buyer (several possible reasons, foremost the opportunity to satisfy the largest possible number of customers).

A decision to limit the number of items a purchaser can buy is certainly within the purview of the seller and no buyer has a RIGHT to buy more if the seller doesn't want to sell more. I see nothing wrong with a seller deciding to impose such a limit as a result of suggestions/complaints by buyers.

One good way not to let the "wolves" get the upper hand is to keep the pressure on casinos to accommodate individual collectors. And one good way to do that is to impose limits on the number of chips available to any one person at any one time. Personally, I like the suggestion made by Marv Weaver that even limited edition chips be available only in the play of a table game (not that most casinos are going to do that!). ----- jim o\-S
