This bantering about being able to vote in COTY/TOTY(I don't understand why all the members here only talk about COTY), the answer seems a SIMPLE one.

JUST SEND IN THE NOMINATING BALLOT THAT COMES IN THE CLUB MAGAZINE! A MEASLY 33¢ POSTAGE

What is SO difficult about that? If every member took the time to send it in they would be eligible to VOTE! Again SIMPLE.

The only part of the nomination ballot that I would like to see a change in would be - - SUBMITTING A BLANK BALLOT - - Maybe I just haven't seen a chip or token I care to nominate this year. Should that keep me from voting? NO, if I've submitted a nominating ballot.(Kind of like, just registering to VOTE)

Another point of which I am not sure of is ASSOCIATE Members, ballots. I think that both the Member and their Associate should be eligible to nominate and vote individually for COTY/TOTY. I am not sure if they receive two ballots in their ONE magazine mailing, but they should BOTH be allowed to submit individual nominations and vote individually.

Is there room for changes, definately, if more members would send in their nomination ballots. Archie at the club board meeting mentioned how costly it would get for the club if every member(2000+) were mailed the color flyer with the nominations on it and a voting ballot. Well, it's time for those who haven't participated in the past to send in their ballots. IT'S JUST THAT SIMPLE. If enough members do, then we'll most likely see some sort of major change in the COTY/TOTY voting, in order to avoid the high cost it will create.

We have to remember here, that only minor percentage of the Club's membership is online. In order to get everyone to send in a nomination ballot we have to keep reminding those members who are not online to do so. The club has done it's part in reminding them, by sending them a nomination ballot, the club cannot do much more to remind them to submit it.
