Earlier Chipcos had a textured finish while most recent ones have a smooth finish, John. There are some listings in TCR of both varieties, e.g., Circus Circus, Reno. I think they deserve the listing as a variety as I try toget both when they occur in one of the areas I collect.

Although not very obvious, there are actually two varieties of the textured chips as well. In one, the texture is made up of 'dimples' (depressed spots) and in the other they are 'pimples' (raised spots). You can see the difference with a glass. I don't know that any of these have been listed as varieties in TCR though.
