The whole deal with Coyote Creek chips was weird, and remains so. You can still buy them in their gift shop (as far as I know), faded from sitting in the display counter, for $45 each. I don't know if the casino even asked about using the club letters on that chip. I suspect that they did it on their own after being informed that their chip was nominated for COTY. Lee Bruton would have better knowledge about this matter.
