First off, I will not embarrass or otherwise harass anyone who chose not to contribute to our book. That's their business, not yours. As for the non-Colorado sections of the book, the information is not perfect, but it is absolutely the best available. Period. Read the names under our acknowledgements section. We have thousands of dollars in phone bills which give more than adequate testimony to the countless long-distance calls we made in order to verify information for our book. For example, the new President of CC>CC, David Sarles, is an expert on Arodie and Sm-key chips. We made several calls to him over the past year, not to mention at least three in-person sessions where we were given information. The curator of the Casino Legends Hall of Fame, Steve Cutler, graciously gave us several nights of his time to photograph rare chips and share information he received from the Paulson company. Do you consider the opinions of these people to be valid, or just people you personally know? By the way, I'm happy to say that most chippers were very helpful. It was no secret that we were working on this book and many people contacted us to make sure we had accurate information. No one from Colorado offered to help. This is not an indictment of Colorado collectors, but it is a fact. I will assume that you have Colorado information that you think we should have. Fine. Write it down and send it to us. This should be no problem as you have just stated that you like to give away free information. We will list you as a Colorado contributor in the next edition. (Don't tell us that we're missing LE's - we know.) Talk is cheap, but if you really want to help, then help. It's easy to criticize, but hard to create.
