Bob, it is true that there are certain chips that tend to exist in a similar condition. However, these situations are in the minority. Besides, that doesn't mean we should only list the prices in one condition. What happens if new discoveries are made and these chips exist in a condition different from the previous finds? We wanted to cover all possible situations. Your way would be incomplete. As far as Colorado is concerned, I agree that it is our weakest section. Gary Oryniak was the only person we knew locally in Las Vegas that had assembled a complete Colorado collection. He was the main source of information on Colorado. We had trouble getting help from Colorado collectors. Fortunately, the exact opposite was true of the other sections. By the way, I have never heard James say he was a chip expert BECAUSE he wrote a book. He feels he's a Nevada chip expert because he's spent 365 days a year for the last 16 years researching, studying, buying, and selling chips. If you know more than anyone else about chips you are doing a disservice to the rest of us. You should write a book as soon as possible so that your awesome wisdom is preserved for the ages.
