I normally try not to be controversial BUT "only those that nominate a chip are allowed to vote" is ridiculous. I don't always vote in primaries so should I not be allowed to vote in the general election? Maybe, in my opinion, I haven't seen a chip worthy of COTY. Why should that preclude me from voting on a chip someone else has nominated? Wouldn't a person want to know that the winning chip is actually the most popular chip (at least within the entire CCG&TCC population). 100 people should be allowed to nominate the top 3 chips which are then subject to a vote at the annual convention. Mail-in votes from members not able to attend should, of course, be counted. I'll admit that more people should participate in the nomination process, but 100 people being allowed to vote for COTY...What a farce.
