Ian was my second favorite artist until Lowell passed away in '79. This was his last tour - Waiting For Columbus. I was in line a day and a half to get a front row seat. Damn I miss him. Craig Fuller was sure no Lowell. Shawn Murphy brings an interesting flavor, but it still ain't the Feat they were.

Of course Ian has mellowed over the years. In '79 he had an absolutely piercing, powerful presence. In '94, he was much more casual, just havin' fun makin' the music.
