Dave,
You will love it. It is such a cool place!! My first trip to Las Vegas was back in 1983 - and it was to get married. We had a blast (and still are...) Everytime we go back (4-5 times a year) there is always something new to see or do.
We both retire in a few years and are strongly considering retiring there.
If you like seafood, don't miss the Seafood Buffet at Rio. It's $25 a pop, it is AYCE lobster, crab, shrimp... and pastries to rival Paris. They prepare all kinds of seafood in all kinds of ways!! It's a 5-star and VERY GOOD. TIP- Call and find out when it opens in the afternoon and get there within an hour of so of opening, or else take along a good book for the wait.
Hope to run into you there.
