All depends on the dealer's next 3 or 4 cards. Let's say the dealer has a 6 up, 10 in the hole, and the next 3 cards are 5, J, K. You're the big hero. You tell everybody you don't normally split tens but you had this premonition. You the man. Everybody should tip you $5 for saving the table. Now if the next 3 cards are K, J, 5... Jake, fetch me my rope!
Seems to me I remember already telling my story of the guy at the Hilton playing $5000 a hand, dealer has a 10 up, he doubles down on a 12, gets a 9, and the dealer has a 10 in the hole. I have to agree with Carl.
