Thanks to Robert and Paul (and whoever follows the string) for the answers... especially in a manner that I could comprehend!

I was also not aware of the "not removing money from the table" rule. In Blackjack, I sometimes DO put some "profit" away in a pocket to make it less "tempting" to bet. Good to know about the difference in Texas Hold'em. That's one less thing that would label me as a Major Newbie at the table.

On the downside... by my posting these "Dumb Questions" on this board.. I have exposed myself to the "e-crowd". Maybe I can fool some of the NON-computer members into thinking that I know what I am doing when I sit down at the table next Thursday. (But from what I am reading on this board.. I had better work quickly - I may not be at the table very long <<GG>>)
