I respect any person who holds his/her price and I certainly respect our unnamed friend (John Benedict). But that's not the market economy. I bought a suit for my kid's wedding. A month later a similar suit was on sale for 1/3 off. I just bought a nice brief case for 45% of the original price--on sale. Why would chip sales be any different? At the show next week, I'll buy a slew of chips from dealers each of whom (hopefully) will give me some kind of markdown--but I'll betcha that others get different prices--some better some less. And I just don't see why a person who sells at auction should be bound by what the first buyer pays. Anyway, the latter part of this thread has been helpful to me--good food for thought.
