The TCR Number for the example that you stated above is N1388 - 5 characters
While the GUN number is CAE-5.00-H-23 or CAE5.00H23 - 13 or 10 characters

Thus the determination of which is shorter is clear. However the amount of information about the specific chip is directly related to the number of characters used in the description/number system... Not to mention how knowledgeable or familiar one is with the numbering system (or reference book)

The additional information in the description that used in the 2/27 LIVE CHAT/AUCTION of 'Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, $5 #1388' is comparable to the additional "un-printed" info of USA-NV-LV-CAE-5.00-H-23 in the GUN system
