Travis; I think too much attention is being paid to how much chips have appreciated in value over the years. I think the emphasis should be placed on the value of enjoyment of a hobby, rather than the investment consideration of financial rewards that sometimesare realized at the time of disposal of a collection. The stock market probably would be a better place, overall, to put one's money in speculation rather than into chips. Don't get me wrong.... I've sold many thousands of chips for more than I've paid. My point is, as collectors, we should enjoy the relaxation and entertainment value of the chip collecting hobby. The financial rewards will come much later. Look at it this way; many people go bowling several times a week as a hobby outlet, or have season passes to professional sporting events. Who wants someone else's bowling score sheets when they are done with them, or their torn ticket stubs? Just my viewpoint.
