I agree. A good example is the Playboy chips. Chip collectors have placed a certain value on them, but they will commonly sell for more at auction. Any special interest group may offer more for a chip of interest to them than is what is valued by chippers.
Sometimes the net is like the Men's bathroom to some and they can't wait to use their new magic marker. (Women don't seem to have the same information to share.)
