I know this is primarily a board for chip collectors.... but I also know that some of you chip collectors are also into collecting tokens. For those of you who do collect tokens you may be interested in knowing that Trump Plaza has recently issued a nice looking .50¢ slot token.... the first ever in Atlantic City! I was thinking, "why don't more casinos use tokens instead of U.S. coinage?" It has to be much cheaper to have tokens struck than tie up huge amounts of capital to fill thousands of machines with cash. Are quarter tokens next at TP? They do have .10¢ tokens, why not quarters?
Unfortunately, I don't have my scanner hooked up yet, as we just moved into our new room this week, so I can't provide you with an image with this post. At the rate I am trying to get packed for our Vegas trip, (I now have to paint the bedroom we just vacated, which will be occupied by our grandson) I don't think the scanner will be connected until after our return. Just thought some of you might be interested in knowing about the latest issue in A.C. It's been a faily long dry spell for tokens. Of course, my A.C. new issues subscribers will be receiving theirs in the mail.
