Psyche was my minor in college. ...took all kinds of courses out of curiousity more than any other reason. To answer your question, sorta, a kidney or heart can't express a thought. It can function or fail. Mind function can fail due to Alzheimer's or a stroke, but most other disfunctions of the mind are treatable.

...except chip collectors. This appears to be an incurable and unexplainable addiction.
