I went up to Majestic Pines in Black River Falls, WI and finally got some chips to trade at the convention. I got a couple each of the $5 and $2.50 chips and a stack of the $1 ones. I hope anyone who would like one will look me up at the Wednesday night trade session at the Orleans. I'll be wearing a Green Bay Packer shirt to help you know who "Jerry in (from) WI" is!
When I was at MP in January, I tried to get extra slot cards to trade, and I went around every machine and didn't find one card. I was able to get one and only one in my name ("Hello, I 'forgot' my card, can I have a replacement?") and only one which has been traded away. I then got back home and a couple weeks later they put in the tables and and got chips. Arghh! When I got back there a couple of weeks ago, I also looked for cards, and again there were no abandoned ones in the machines. And when I asked for one at the desk (oops, I "forgot" mine again...) I got a new design, shown below. But I can't recall which is the new one and which is the old. I think the "Casino-Bingo-Hotel" version is the new one. Maybe.
Oops. I can't get the scan to show up. I put "http://www.thechipboard.com/tcbuploads/pines.gif" in the Image URL box, but the board can't find it. Help? I downloaded it twice. When I tried the second download, should it not have told me there already was a file by that name in Greg's database? Is the fact that it's not mean my downloads are not getting there, even though they told me the file was successfully downloaded?
