If i understand this ocrrectly. Jim was stating that other collectors walked over to losers at the auction and offered the same chips for less money than they were sold for. Leaving the winner a loser. He didn't approach the winner of the auction and offer him chips for less as they did on ebay. That above scenario is common practice as I stated before.

Who in their right mind would pay more for an item, when they were offered they same for less before they paid for it.
